Kim Norman
As a professional volleyball coach, Kim has worked at all levels of the game. Coaching Utah Unity professional women’s team in 2012 as well as coaching collegiate, high school, and club. In addition to posting two conference championships at Westminster College and their first trip to the NAIA National Championship in 2007, Kim reached her extraordinary 100th win with Westminster College – Griffins. Kim won two state championships at Highland High School, and has won the IM Region bid to nationals every year with her team. Kim’s vision and commitment to volleyball development began in 1991 when she collaborated with USA Volleyball to bring Junior Olympic training and events to Utah. Her tireless efforts paved the way for many Utah players to achieve their dream and play volleyball at the highest level including college and professional.
Rebecca Steele
Rebecca has a history of competitive athletics in her background. She played both basketball and volleyball at the University of New Orleans after transferring from the College of Southern Idaho. Steel was also an all-state selection on both volleyball and basketball in high school. Rebecca has been coaching at High Country Volleyball Club for a long time and has guided her team to the Intermountain Region Championship in the 18’s division in 2012. During the summer, she was a coach for the Intermountain Region USA High Performance for both the indoor and beach teams. Prior moving to Utah, Steel was an assistant coach at Highland High School in Pocatello, Idaho.
Kam Ellington
Kam has an extensive background in volleyball and competitive sports. Kam was all- state in wrestling and baseball. He coached at Highland High school for 6years, during which he was able to help the team to 4 State Championships. He is the current head coach at East High School. Kam is a returning High Country coach with over ten years of coaching experience. Hewas also a part of the Utah – Moscow games where he traveled and played in Jr. Olympic Volleyball Games and training programs. Kam brings passion, charisma and dedication to the court along with an impressive set of coaching skills.
Tracie Gardner Club Director
Tracie started playing volleyball as a junior at Spanish Fork High where she won two state championships. Tracie played at Ricks College (known today as BYU-Idaho) for 2 years, where she won many awards including Region 18 title with a 30-12 record and a trip to nationals,where they placed 7th, and 1st Team All-Region both years. Tracie then transferred to Utah State University where she was named HCAC player of the month and held career records in block solos, block assists, and total blocks. As a Secondary Education major with a minor in coaching, Tracie loves working with the youth and teaching them the game she loves. Tracie has been involved with High Country for 2 ½ years.
KeanoMauMau
Keano started playing volleyball as a junior at Bingham High School and by the end of the season she became the starting varsity libero wining an All-League libero award. She was invited to be in the 17’s national libero @ Summit Volleyball Club. She is currently coaching for West High School. She has also coached for East High School and Union Volleyball Club. This will be her 3rd year at High Country Volleyball Club. Keano has coached all ages and levels of club volleyball and she is super excited to return to high country this season to provide a positive and competitive environment for the girls.
Sentitalela (Cindarella) Utuone
Cinderella was introduced to volleyball her freshman year in high school. She played 3 years in high school and that is when she knew this sport was pretty amazing. She is currently coaching at West High school for the Sophomore team and has also coached at East High.Cinderella has coached 3 years of club volleyball ages 10’s, 12’s. 16’s, and 18’s. She coached as Kim Normans’ assistant for 1 year.
Sarah Ward
I’ve been playing since I was 10. I went to Marquette Catholic High School in Michigan City, Indiana. I was a 4 year varsity starter, as well as, a 3 time state champion. I made All American 3 years, All State team 3 years. I was ranked 4th in the nation on PrepVolleyball.com for outside hitters under 5’8”. I played club ball for Dunes Volleyball Club my entire career and finally, earned a full ride scholarship to Taylor University in Indiana.

Jacque Jaeger
I was a 3-year letter winner at West Jordan High School as an outside hitter, and played club ball for Club Utah and Club Union. I was recruited to play for Air Force Academy and other junior colleges before accepting a full-tuition academic scholarship to the University of Utah. I coached club volleyball for Utah Ice for 4 years, Club Union for 1 year, as well as the JV team at Weber High School. I strive to learn everything I can about this game to ensure that I’m a better player, but more importantly, I want to be the best coach I can be. I’m so excited to begin my 2nd year at High Country!
Owen hasplayed volleyball pretty muchhis entire life. He loves this sport. Owen played on the boys’ high school team for West Jordan High Schoolfor 4 years and was a 4-year starter as a varsity setter. He wasnamed all state setter all 4 years and made allregion 1st team for all 4 years.Owen coached the girls’ sophomorevolleyball team at West Jordan High School for 2 years. This will be Owens second year coaching at High Country. He coached the 18’s national team last year alongside Cinthia Angus while also assisting the 13’s region team with Keano. Owen is super excited to be a part of the coaching staff againthis year for High Country and help provide a positive and competitive environment so they can reach their potential on and offthe court.
