Boot Dr.™ Passenger Guards ♦ Installation Instructions:
H-D®SOFTAIL® MODELS
1. Remove the footboard bracket & board assembly(s) from the hex shaped mounting arm on the bike.
2. With the board in the extended (down) position, place the guard on the outer edge (inboard side) of the board and
mark the location of the mounting holes…these marks should be 6-5/8” inches apart. Prick punch the marks and,
using a 9/64” (.140”) twist drill bit, drill two holes thru the board casting.
3. Attach the guards with the supplied (2) stainless-steel #8 x 3/8” long Phillips Pan-Head Screws.
Note: These are self-tapping screws and should be installed square to the hole, applying a steady
pressure as you screw them in.
4. Re-install the footboard bracket & board assembly(s).
5. You’re done! So get out, ride safely and enjoy your new BOOT DR™!
