1. Log On
If you are logging on for the first time THIS SEMESTER:
In the box for USERNAME:
Enter your last name, first initial, and last four digits of your social security number
Example: smithj1234
PASSWORD: Leave the password blank
DOMAIN: Should say STUDENT
Click OK
You will receive a message that indicates your password has expired.
OLD PASSWORD: leave blank
NEW PASSWORD: type your new password and make sure it is something you
can easily remember
CONFIRM PASSWORD: type the same password
Click OK
2. Open Internet Explorer
Go to Chipola’s Home page at www.chipola.edu
Click on Departments; click on Alford; Click on Math 0024.
Note that assignments and worksheets may be accessed here.
2. Registering in “My Math Lab "
You must have an email address before you can register.
From the back of your book, get out the “My Math Lab” Packet.
The MyMathLab Course ID is: alford07365
Open Internet Explorer
Go to www.mymathlab.com
Register as a new user with the id information from your “My Math Lab” packet
(after the first time you will "login")
Select Instructor and text – Bittenger Elementary and Intermediate Algebra, Ed3
3. Using "Interact Math" via the CJC server
START – MATH PROGRAMS - ELEMENTARY ALGEBRA – ALGEBRA TUTOR
4. Watch the instructor demo for Interact Math. Work each problem on your own paper as the instructor works the problem on the computer.

Section 1.6: 41, 53, 65
5. Try it on your own now via the CJC server or the Internet
Work the following problems on your own paper, checking your answers on the computer. Put them on the same sheet as the problems worked during the instructor demo and hand in the work when your are finished.
