SECTION 2: Assessment Reports

2.1 Student’s Self-Assessment

Students should comment on their progress towards evidencing capability in relation to the requirements as laid out in the PCF and HCPC Guidance on Standards of Conduct and Ethics (300-500 words)

2.2. On-Site Supervisor’s Report

Where applicable on-site supervisors should provide a brief report and comments on the student’s work with services users, attendance, punctuality, team working and use of agency supervision

2.3 Practice Educator Assessment

By the end of the first placement students should demonstrate effective use of knowledge, skills and commitment to core values in social work in a given setting in predominantly less complex situations, with supervision and support. They will have demonstrated capacity to work with people and situations where there my not be simple clear-cut solutions.
By the end of qualifying programmes, demonstrated in the context of the last placement newly qualified social workers should have demonstrated the knowledge, skills and values to work with a range of user groups, and the ability to undertake a range of tasks at a foundation level, the capacity to work with more complex situations; they should be able to work more autonomously, whilst recognising that the final decision will still rest with their supervisor; they will seek appropriate support and supervision.
The report should also comment on the student’s practice in relation to the HCPC Guidance on Standards of Conduct and Ethics
