RE: National Conference for Nurse Practitioners-Fall/Oct 6-9, 2016

Dear

I have recently learned about the National Conference for Nurse Practitioners, and I’m writing to ask for approval to attend. The conference will take place Oct 6-9, 2016 at the Hyatt Regency Chicago Hotel in Chicago, Illinois.

This year marks the 51st anniversary of the Nurse Practitioner Profession and attendance at this particular meeting has expanded greatly over the past several years due to its highly rated sessions, hands-on workshops, and ability to network with experts in the field. The sessions are right on target and include topics in both primary and acute care…and the evidence-based lectures are taught by leading faculty from across the country.

On top of all that, the conference is sponsored by Wolters Kluwer, publisher of The Nurse Practitioner journal and it’s led by Margaret Fitzgerald, DNP, FNP-BC, NP-C, FAANP, CSP, FAAN, DCC, Conference Chairperson; President, Fitzgerald Health Education Associates, Inc., North Andover, MA, Family Nurse Practitioner, Adjunct Faculty, Family Practice Residency, Greater Lawrence (MA) Family Health Center.

Looking over the agenda, I’m hoping to gain from the experience:

·  Unique/interactive educational experiences. Educational tracks and breakout sessions are geared to a variety of topics. There are numerous pertinent topics that will be especially beneficial to my practice and our patients.

·  Networking opportunities. The meeting has a vendor hall with dedicated times to visit with the industry leaders. So, we’ll be able to learn the newest technologies and products in the industry today.

·  Scientific research posters. We’ll have an opportunity to submit and/or review research from our colleagues on cutting-edge topics and ideas for practice. These are all peer-reviewed before acceptance.

·  Discounted hotel rates. The conference offers discounted hotel rates in a unique setting that is conducive to learning.

·  Food functions. They also offer food functions in the exhibit hall (unlike the other meetings) and provide areas to meet with other NP colleagues. And, best of all—it’s included with the fee!

·  Reasonable fees. The registration fees are quite reasonable and there are discounted fees at various price points that really make it affordable to attend!

I think this conference and these opportunities will help me with my patient care goals!

Please let me know if I am approved to attend—the earlier I get registered, the more cost-friendly it’ll be!

Best regards,
