Dear Fellow Band Parent,

Summer is a pleasant season: vacations, picnics, and long evenings. As exciting as summer is, it is also the time we prepare for what comes next – Marching Band Season! I am Stan Sobolewski, newly elected President of the Booster Organization. I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to a new marching season and hope that you will be able to participate in many of the activities that we have planned. We have monthly meetings – every third Monday during the school year at 6:30 P.M. in the Band Room at the High School. If you are new to the organization, or if you have been around for a few years, it would be very helpful to you and your Band Member if you could regularly attend these meetings. We discuss important items such as trip plans, fund raising activities and other band related issues. The Director always gives a report which keeps us up to date with current band happenings. (We know what the show will be next season, but can’t tell!)

There will be a picnic at the pavilion on top of the hill behind the ice rink, Sunday July 26th from 2:00 to 6:00 P.M. (The date is incorrect on the camp registration form.) Please bring a covered dish: last name A-M brings a side dish, last name N-Z brings a dessert. The organization will provide chicken and drinks. There is a check box to R.S.V.P. on the Band Camp Registration Form. Bring the whole family – this takes care of Sunday Dinner!

I hope that you will become active in the Band Boosters - while participation in the Marching Band is good for our kids, being a Booster is worthy for us. Our firstregularly scheduled meeting will be Monday, August 17th at 6:30 in the Band Room of the High School.Please mark that on your calendar today.
