On 21 October 2011, President Obama signed the United States-Colombia Trade Promotion Agreement Implementation Act, which, inter alia, amended the Andean Trade Preference Act (ATPA).

The ATPA (19 USC 3201, et seq.) was enacted on 4 December 1991. It has been amended several times by the following legislation:
