SAC Meeting Minutes

October 15, 2013 (7:45 am)

Attendance:

Teachers/Staff:Ashley Power (SAC Co-Chair), Amanda Strange (SAC C0-Chair), Carole Gauronskas (ESE Para), Pamela Jett (Title I Parapro), ChelleHowatt (3rd Grade), Kelly Yelvington (2nd Grade),

Parents: Susan Harthill, Shannon Larrabee, Kelly Mantei, Liz Struhar, Pauline Webb, Daniel Hersey, Nancy Thompson, Vanessa Townsend, Jana Waler, Deanna Leschinski, Stephanie Davis, Yvonne Ross, Darrell Colee

Call to Order:

A meeting of the Ketterlinus School Advisory Council was held on October 15, 2013 in the Dolphin Lab. Ashley Power called the meeting to order at 7:49 am and Amanda Strange recorded minutes for the meeting.

  1. Minutes Review of May meeting:
  2. A motion to approve the May minutes was made byCarole Gauronskas. The motion was seconded byDeannaLeschinski.

  2. Finance Report – SAC funds: $1,200.00
  3. Old Business
  4. School Recognition Funds:Ashley Power went through the process to get to this ballot. Grade Levels were asked how they wanted to spend the money and each grade level came up with an idea. Then these proposals were put together on a ballot. Yvonne Ross motioned to approve the school recognition fund process and Susan Harthill seconded it. There was discussion among SAC about each proposal. There were no changes made to SAC Ballot. Kelly Mantei motioned to approve ballot and Stephanie Davis seconded it. Both the process and ballot were voted ok by all.

  2. School Improvement Plan

-Ashley Power did a brief overview of our School Improvement Plan.

b. Amanda Strange asked SAC to spend money on Teacher Training. $250 will be allocated for Coach Pam Allen to go to a workshop on coaching and $503 will be allocated for Amanda Strange and Mary Ballinger to go to Kagan Workshop. Carole Guaranskas motioned to approve this and Susan Harthill seconded this. All voted yes to approve.
