CLINIC update (Robin) / Clinic Advisory / Robin Farris, Director report / Playrooms updated thanks to PM/RS, RF Discussion about frequency of clinic meetings. Concerns included length of meeting time if not held frequently enough versus “over-meeting” with busy schedules. Faculty agreed that monthly meeting would be sufficient unless other pressing needs arise that can’t be resolved through email. Director will send items to Program Coordinator/CACREP Liaison before scheduling meetings to align with program needs and to insure relevant CACREP guidelines are considered. Discussed internship application process for clinic, now posted on website. Robin shared the new workshop schedule for spring 2016 including Daryl Haslam/ Vanessa Irons 4/22/16
COU Master’s Programs / Annual Report update / Seeking additional information for completion attachment #1 / ALA request feedback from faculty, to complete report. Reminder that format is to provide snapshot of information. JCW discussed history of document creation and requested additional documents be linked or shared. TA suggested resource links to info / All faculty / 2 weeks

Recruitment updates / (all faculty please report any/all) / AC recruited at a headstart program (2) LF attending conference in March, planning HBCU recruitment. *Discussed possibly putting recruitment strategies on retreat schedule. / All faculty / continually
Diversity grant update / LF attending Diversity Conference in NC in March, will recruit at this event and in the region while traveling. Reported on success of Tough Talks events. LF and ALA working with SPS and area universities providing “Train-The-Trainer” diversity training for city-wide Lumina Grant targeting students of color and first-gen college students. LF also presented diversity training to MSU Counseling Center.
Admissions / Packets due Feb 15 / Lisa will complete admission packets and have to faculty by Feb. 19, to be reviewed by 2/22. She will notify applicants of interview date when files are complete, and will notify applicants who are invited for interview when the required new student orientation will be held.
Applicant interviews will be held 2/26, beginning with GA overview at 8 a.m.
Practicum/Internship / Updates / Practicum/Internship Required Orientation meeting held on 1/23, with over 40 students in attendance, with second opportunity scheduled today, 1/27.
Updated PowerPoint detailing application process to be uploaded this week. Student confusion reduced by this meeting where the process is outlined.
Site supervisor trainings scheduled for March 4 at PCOB at 2pm after SMSCA meeting, with makeup date may 3
MD shared that students would be presenting PROBE posters on 4/26. JCW suggested students participate in Interdisciplinary Forum.
RS shared that site visits will begin in a couple of weeks. Summer Practicum- discussion about offering a section of practicum that includes all three tracks with disadvantage that only RPT faculty would be able to teach this section. RS has built some partnerships that would also help School Counseling students to work with children in the summer for auxiliary hours. Decided to offer one of the summer practicum sections this way, with the other only CMHC
Assessment / Task stream / Student/faculty accessibility will be indefinite with download capability after graduation. Faculty encouraged to check TaskStream often for advisee updates needed.
Signature project updates / TM reported faculty experience with rubric workshop in December. Faculty are working on remaining CACREP aligned rubrics / All faculty as assigned / By Feb MTG
Portfolio / ALA held portfolio workshop Saturday after the Practicum/Internship meeting, with about 20 students in attendance. Second workshop to be held today at 2. Portfolio revised to remove duplicate items and to better align. Both PowerPoint and updated sheets posted to website.
After discussion, decided to keep a few representative portfolios for accreditation purposes, and to remove all scoring rubrics before returning folios to students after 1 year.
Morgan will continue to record scoring information for Program Coordinator to review.
