18th Swindon Beavers, Cubs and Scouts will be joining Scout Groups from all over Wiltshire for a special County Camp Friday 14- Sunday 16th June 2013

  • What is it? A weekend camp, including all inclusive tickets for 2 days for the Longleat attractions and the chance to be part of a large Scout gathering.
  • Who can go? All sections of Scouting. Beavers have the choice of camping for one night, or just visiting with the day ticket option. Cubs and Scouts will camp for two nights.
  • What activities are on offer?
  • Safari Park- Lions, Monkeys, Tigers, Elephant, Cheetahs, Flamingos, Wolves, Pelicans, Zebra, Giraffes, Vultures, Deer, Rhino, Camels, Ostrich, Oryx…
  • Adventure Park- World’s second largest Hedge Maze –Bat Cave – Motion Simulators – Deer Hand Feeding– King Arthur’s Mirror Maze– Ye Olde Sweet Shop
  • Jungle Express train ride & Boat cruise- Visit Gorilla Island, see Hippos up close and feed Sea Lions on Half Mile Lake
  • Jungle Kingdom & Animal Adventure- See, smell and interact with some of Longleat’s smaller animals, whilst learning about global conservation.
  • Longleat House- Ideal for Leaders and older sections, with historic rooms, Life and Times of Lord Bath and Family Bygones Exhibitions, Scale Model of LongleatHouse, and Meet My Ancestors Exhibition.
  • Where is the camp site? Park Hill, Longleat Estate, Nr Warminster, Wiltshire, BA12 7NW. It is a 61 acre WW2 airfield, overlooking the Park and House. Surrounded by forest, the site is secluded, yet only 20 minute walk from the Safari Park.
  • What will it cost? Including the Longleat ticket, transport, food and camping the cost is £50.
