We can make wise decisions for our world.

In class we discussed that it's important to know about science because it's relevant to your everyday life. You may not grow up to be a scientist, and you may choose not to go to college, but you will still need to understand many scientific concepts throughout your life. You'll need to make scientific decisions on a daily basis such as whether or not to water your lawn, whether or not it's safe to eat the cheese that's been in the fridge since last month, or whether or not to believe the new ad on TV selling a miracle product for improving your gas mileage. We discussed the many environmental, medical, and technological issues that they are likely to be voting on when they are older, and how important it is to be able to understand the science behind the issues in order to know if you should vote for something or against it. Passing tests, going to college, and becoming a scientist can all be important things, but the most important reason for everybody studying science is so that everyone is able to make good decisions about the world.

Energy Sleep Land Friends

From concept web 2- All living things share basic needs. All living things use energy for life processes like respiration, growth/development, sleeping, reproducing. Some organisms capture sunlight and use it to produce sugar, which they then use for their energy needs. Other organisms eat food for their energy. This food is in the form of plants and animals.

We can find evidence of extinct animals.

We can observe it at the zoo.

We can count all the organisms on Earth.
