Sweater and pants
2 mm knitting needles
Yarn: Pink/beige and black – Fingering weight yarn
Sweater
Begin with front piece:
Cast on 26 sts with pink/beige and work moss stitch =
Row 1 K 1, P 1
Row 2: Purl stitch on knit stitch, and knit stitch on purl stitch
Continue until work measures 7 cm.
Cast on 20 new sts on each side for sleeves and continue with moss stitch except on the 5 edge sts
at sleeve, work garter stitch = 66 sts
At 8 cm, divide work at the center, and work each side separately = 33 sts.
Now also work the 3 edge sts at neck in garter stitch, starting from the wrong side.
At 10 cm, cast off 3 sts at neck front= 30 sts
The 3 edge sts at neck, work garter stitch.
Continue until work measures 11 ½ cm.
Work the other side the same.
Work both pieces together for back piece, by casting on 6 new sts between pieces = 66 sts
Continue with moss stitch, but work the 12 middle sts, knit stitch, for 6 rows
and the 5 edge sts, garter stitch.
Continue until sleeve measures 7 ½ cm.
Cast off 20 sts on each side for sleeves.
Continue to work on the back piece, 26 sts.
When the back piece is as long as the front piece, cast off.
Pants:
Cast on 18 sts with black and work stockinette stitch.
At 7 cm, increase 1 st on each side, inside edge stitch, with 1 ½ cm between, 3 times. = 24 sts
At 13 cm, cast off 2 sts on each side, cast off 1 st on each side.
Work the other leg the same.
Join legs together like this:
Knit tog last stof the first part and the first st of the second part = 35 sts
At 14 cm, decrease 2 sts on row.
At 15 cm, work rib st, K 1, P 1, for 1 cm.
Cast off.
