Motion
The maximum handicap index shall be 36.4 for men and 40.4 for women and the
maximum number of handicap strokes allowed on each and every day shall be the number
of strokes as laid down on the handicap sheet of the club to be played that day
Moved P Burrell Seconded Ian Stratford
Unanimous Decision
Dirk Korver from Waikare
Raised the question on the number of players in pennant teams and how clubs could handle the numbers on nine hole courses.
He then questioned players playing 1 to 9 one day then 10 to 18 another and they then combine
their score for an handicap. Bernie Ellmers said this was a New Zealand Golf Rule.
The last thing he brought up was he thought only competition cards should count for handicap
to stop players farming their handicaps. Everybody that plays should hand in a card.
Peter Burrell from Pirongia
Said the Executive should read their Constitution in regards to women, we kept
asking for them to join our 1dayers when in the constitution clause 4e states The President
and in his or her absence the Senior Vice President shall preside.
The executive to look into at their next meeting
Gerald Harris from Ngahinepouri
Stated he was not happy with the Pennant Zones as delays would happen on 9 hole courses
The out come after discussion was that the Executive were happy with the Zone Draw.
Gerald Harris raised that the numbers in a team should all be the same. Ray Kitchener said
that was up to the Convenor of that zone to agree team sizes.
Gerald Harris moved a motion that all 6 cards in the Final count seconded Bill Rendle.
Unanimous Decision
Christmas Draw
Allan Hazelwoodfrom Ngaruawahia drew Tirau out of the bucket and they will be holding the 2011 Christmas Tournament
Capitation
Paul advised that Capitation fee would be going up to $2.00 made up of 50c capitation $1.00 for DotGolf and 50c for Air Ambulance. He handed over to Bill Rendallwho started reading his letter that he had sent to Paul Keeley and Alan Bates, not what had been arranged at our last Executive Meeting. Everyone in the audience looked on in bewilderment at all the figures he was talking about. Ray Kitchener got up and told the audience that DotGolf were going to upgrade our website and would require a $1-0 payment from each member that plays in our 35 1 dayers. Peter Burrell spoke that we cannot do this and other discussions took place. Final outcome being that Peter Burrell moved a motion to increase 50c capitation to $1.00 seconded Bill Rendall. It was put to the vote : 32 for, 26 against.
There being no further business the meeting closed at 10.50am with a vote of thanks to the host club and the members for attending.
