Ingis says her paintings of visual poetry and color are forms of “improvisational pieces that move between structure and spontaneity, between realism and abstract images like a jazz musician dancing around a melody or composition. It is the vibrations of the two components that interact with each other with movement, rhythm and light that inspires me.”

As an artist, she is constantly challenging herself to reach new frontiers as she seeks new and innovative methods to create a work, the idea of forging a new kind of art and being at the vanguard.

She has participated in numerous group exhibitions as well as one-woman shows. Her paintings can be found in numerous public and private collections. Her work has been published, and she has received awards for her work. When not painting, Gail can be found on the tennis court (she is also a certified teaching tennis pro) OR AT The Lockwood- Matthews Mansion in Norwalk where she serves as Art Director.
