Faculty Instructions
Confirmation of Workshop/Seminar Descriptions and Presenters: Descriptions and presenters for each course are posted on our Conference webpage HERE and will be included as part of the Conference Program. Please review the same and advise us of any corrections, additions, etc. by February 20.
Faculty Bios: If you haven’t already done so, please send a short bio for each presenter by February 20.
Registration: Registrationis required for all Conference attendees, including faculty. As a presenter, you receive a complimentary registration. Please registeron-line HERE ASAP.
Workshop and Seminar Format: Workshops are 90 minutes. Seminars are 3 hours with the number and duration of breaks at your discretion. Please plan for ample time for questions and discussion. A table of the course schedule is posted on our Conference webpage HERE.
Course Attendance: If you would like an update on how many people are registered for your workshop, please contact CLCC Executive Director Amy B. Paterson the week before the conference.
Course Handouts and other materials: We are not able to reproduce your session handouts. However, we would like to make as much material available for download from our website as possible before the event. If you have digital files of your handouts and/or powerpoint presentations we would greatly appreciate a file copy, which you can email toCLCC Executive Director Amy B. Patersonat y March 16.
Audio-Visual Services:
The majority of the workshop rooms at Wesleyan are outfitted with a/v equipment including computers and projectors with USB ports. We will notify you under separate cover if we have placed your workshop/seminar in a room WITHOUT a/v services. Wesleyan technicians will be on-hand throughout the day to address any a/v needs.
Travel Information and Hotel Accommodations (DEADLINE TO BOOK A ROOM AT REDUCED RATE IS FEBRUARY 20)
- Hotel Accommodations: For those of you who will be traveling from out of town and need lodging accommodations for the nights ofFriday March 20and/or Saturday March 21, we have booked a block of rooms at theInn at Middletown, which is just a 10 minute walk from the Wesleyan University campus. The Inn at Middletown, which is located at 70 Main Street, Middletown, is providing a discount to CLCC Conference participants, charging $175 per night for room. In addition, as a supporter of CLCC and a sponsor of the Conference, the Inn will donate $25 per room to CLCC for each night booked by Conference participants.
- Hotel Reservations: In order to book a room in the block set aside for CLCC Conference participants,either call the hotel at860-854-6300and ask for the group block rate for "Connecticut Land Conservation Council"orbook online using the booking link available HERE. Hotel rates are only available until Friday, February 20. Please book these rooms as soon possible so that we can release unused rooms in our block for booking by other guests.
3.Air Travel: For those of you who are flying in using a commercial airline, the nearest airport is Hartford-Springfield (BDL), which is about a half hour drive from Middletown.
