The nitrate concentration in water of different sampling locations has been tabulated below for further insight into the results. The detailed concentration of nitrate in both post-monsoon and pre-monsoon season in rural and urban areas with mean, standard deviation and range is depicted in table 1 and 2. The average nitrate concentration was found to be slightly higher in the post-monsoon region. Also, there was significant difference in the nitrate concentration of rural and urban areas with nitrate concentration exceeding the threshold limit of 45 mg/L in the samples from rural sites.
