Weighing your baby/child
Please Note any baby under 8 weeks should be seen by a member of the Health Visiting team when attending clinic.
When do I need to see a Health Visitor about my baby’s weight?
Few babies remain on the centile they started on.
Around 50% will cross one centile line and around
5% will cross two.
If your baby drops or climbs through two lines or more, please come to clinic.
Do not forget to arrange a 6-week check with your GP for yourself and baby.
If you have not been seen by your Health Visitor prior to your GP check, then please bring your baby to clinic to have their weight, length and head circumference measurements completed.
