Top Titans!

A great overall performance

Team Titans top the Shrewsbury Open Meet table with 740 points from 231 individual entries.

Place / Team / Points
1 / Ellesmere College Titans / 740
2 / Shrewsbury ASC / 514
3 / Wrekin College Swimming Club / 333
4 / City of Stoke Swimming / 225
5 / Perry Beeches SSS / 174
Top five table places / An appetite to race and a winning attitude
A dominant Titans performance saw a Titan win 25% of all of the races that they competed in.
In addition, a Titan also made the podium in over 51% of the races that they entered. Such a consistent level of high performances across the team enabled our fantastic kids to take home the Top Visiting Team Trophy.
Early signs of skills development
More importantly, 61% of all Titan swims were PBs, which reflects the hard work and dedication of all of our swimmers and our coaches.
This is a great platform for what promises to be a fantastic season of competition.

Head Coach Comment

"Titans arrived at the Shrewsbury Meet with the focus being on skill development and on transferring what has been happening in the training pool into the race environment under a bit of pressure.

Although we still have some work to do as always, our young Titans have passed the first test.

Only a few weeks in, and it looks like it’s going to be another exciting season for GB Best team"

Alan Bircher - Head Coach

And thanksto Shrewsbury

A big “thank you" to our friends in Shrewsbury ASC for putting on a fantastic gala, for allowing so many kids to show us how talented they are and for helping them to pursue their dreams.

The weekend was a great opener to the season and well done to all concerned.

End.
