Training for auditors of pellet production plants

27-28 February 2012, Vienna

Overview

This training is organised for auditors of inspection bodies that want to perform ENplus related audits of pellet production plants and pellet traders’ facilities. The participation in this training is considered as an adequate proof of qualification for persons intending to audit pellet plants (see requirements stated in the ENplus handbook).

The training is organised in the context of the PellCert project and financially supported by the Intelligent Energy Europe Programme.

The contents of the training are provided by ofi Technologie & Innovation GmbH, Holzforschung Austria and the German Pellet Institute (DEPI), organisations with extensive experience in auditing pellet plants and standards related to pellet quality. The trainers are Martin Englisch, Phillipp Koskarti, Wilfried Pichler and Martin Behr.

The training will include an introduction to the relevant EN standards, the requirements of ENplus, practical training in determining physical parameters of Pellets and audits of two modern pellet production plants.

Time & Location

The welcome dinner will take place on Sunday 26 February, evening in Vienna. On Monday, 27 February the training will take place in the premises and laboratories of ofi Technologie & Innovation GmbH (Arsenal, Objekt 213, Franz-Grill-Strasse 5). On 28 February two pellet production plants in the vicinity of Vienna will be visited and audited. The program ends at approx. 8 p.m. in Vienna.

Costs

The training is financially supported by the IEE program. The fair costs for participating in the training are 600€. This fee includes training and documentation, the welcome dinner, lunch on both days and transport costs from Vienna to the pellet production plants and back.

Participants have to arrange and cover the costs of travel to Vienna, hotel and dinner on the 27th and 28th. Recommended Hotel: Roomz Hotel Vienna, www.roomz-vienna.com

A contingent of rooms has been reserved for participants (you will receive a dedicated reservation form) until 15 January 2012. Please let us know if you prefer to stay at a different hotel, the transfer to and from the ofi premises as well as the bus to the pellet plants will leave from the Roomz hotel.
