B. Hand-Curated Exclusions
6. Apply hand curation using the following criteria:
Excluded phenotypes:
(1)Those not usually evaluated in the clinical setting (e.g. DNA damage, chromosomal aberrations, protein adducts)
(2)Complications of diseases or therapies (e.g. transplant rejection or survival after treatment).
(3)Associations or outcomes for pharmacological (pharmacogenomic) treatments
(4)Associations or outcomes for non-pharmacological treatments (surgical outcomes, transplant outcomes)
Other exclusions:
(1)Inadequate evidence in abstract and/or full text of article to determine whether a qualifying association is reported.
(2)Neither abstract nor full text of article available in English
(3)Review articles with no new empirical results
