Classroom Rules

Pretty easy here…

Respect: your classmates, the classroom, yourself, any teacher (including substitutes)

--Be on time. Bell work will be connected to attendance this year.

--Be Prepared: bring your materials (pen, pencil, binder, readings)

--Put your phone away. --Be ENGAGED! `--Sorry there are NO passes.

Gum – please, please, please do not leave it on the floor or stick it up under desks/chairs. I also reserve the right to have students spit out their gum if it becomes a distraction to the class.

Phone Policy

Fordson’s new phone policy will be in effect in my classroom. That means: no cell phone use. We will go over this policy and there is a link oh my blog page to the policy.

Attendance

--Attendance policy:

Over 15 min. late to class = Absent

2 lates (5-15 min) = Absence

4 tardies = Absence

No absence for school-sponsored activities.

No absence for In-/Out-of school suspensions.

10 or more absences = No Credit for course unless there are extenuating circumstances.

Assignments

Assignments and tests missed must be made up in order for you to receive any credit for them. It is YOUR responsibility to find out what you missed. Homework is due the day following your return (ex. If you miss Monday and come back to school Tuesday, your assignments that you missed will be due when you walk into class on Wednesday). Make up a missed quiz or test at the next make-up session held after school on Wednesdays or Fridays within one week of your return to school. Any quiz, test, or assignment not made up receives a grade of zero. Make-up tests will be altered from the in-class tests. Projects and major papers are due on the assigned date. Late assignments will be marked down up to 50%. Additionally, no late assignments will be accepted within a week of the end of the card marking. See me before or after school if you find that you’re having difficulty, or if you have a question.
