BOATs latest

We will be continuing to oppose the conversion of bridleways into BOATS. There have been mixed results with the Rights of Way Committee at Bucks County council rejecting all applications to date on the grounds that there was insufficient evidence of prior use by vehicles. The saga will continue as some of the applications have yet to be researched by the Council and the Trail Riders Fellowship are likely to appeal to the Secretary of State. It remains likely that the issue will eventually go to Public Enquiry.

Easter Egg Fun Ride

This year’s pleasure ride will again be an Easter one, giving you all the chance to get your horses and ponies out of the mud for a few hours. The date is the 8th April from Pednor Bottom from 1pm. There will be Easter eggs to be rooted out as a treat for kids of all ages. We will again enjoy access to Mr Clarke’s land for which we are very grateful. The cost is £5 per member. Please contact Anna Streeter (number below) if you would like to take part.

Membership tabards

As you may recall we benefited from a grant from Shell for last year. There are still a few members that have yet to claim their tabard. Please contact Chris Dutton.

Membership Fees

Don’t forget that subs are now due! A membership form is attached – feel free to photocopy it if you know loads of people who would like to join!

AGM

Will be held on Thursday 4th May 8 p.m. in the Chartridge reading room on the corner of Chartridge Lane and Cogdells Lane. There will also be a chance to talk and mingle after the structured part of the meeting over a cup of coffee and biscuit. We are keen to encourage some new committee members. The amount of time to dedicate isn’t huge and is very rewarding. If you would like to know more about what it really entails contact Chris Dutton.

ContactNumbers

The committee is always keen to hear feedback, especially if you would like to report a problem with bridleways in your area.
