SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM
The Atlantic Claim Executives Association (ACEA) is pleased to announce the availability of theAtlantic Claim Executives Association Scholarship Program. The Scholarship program will be independently administered by Scholarship America which headquarters in Saint Peter, Minnesota.
ELIGIBLILTY REQUIREMENTS
- Applicants must be dependent unmarried children (natural, adopted, or step-children) under the age of 27 (as of October 15) of current, full-time ACEA members or associate members who have been members for at least one (1) year by February 1 of the year of application.
- The member or associate member must have attended a spring meeting or fall workshop within the last 18 months from the date of the application.
- Applicants must be high school seniors who plan to enroll or students who are already enrolled in a full time undergraduate or graduate course of study at an accredited two- or four-year college, university, or vocational technical school. Graduate studies would include, but not be limited to, a Masters Degree, Law Degree, Medical Doctor, Pharmacy, etc.
AWARD DETERMINATION
The program will utilize standard Scholarship America’s recipient selection procedures including the consideration of past academic performance and future potential school and community activities, work experience, career and educational aspirations and goals, unusual personal or family circumstances, and an outside appraisal.
The awards are for one (1) year only. Students may reapply to the program each year they meet eligibility requirements.
For the current year, one Scholarship awarded will awarded in the amount of $2,000. In years where more than one Scholarship is given, only one award per family will be allowed unless siblings are the only qualified applicants.
IMPORTANT DEADLINES AND DATES

January 15Postmark deadline for requesting application materials from Scholarship America
February 1Postmark deadline for submitting application materials to Scholarship America
March 1Student Recipients notified by mail and also notifies non-recipients.
August 1First half of Scholarship checks are sent to the Students, made payable to the
Student’s institute
December 15Second half scholarship checks are mailed.

APPLICATION PROCEDURES
Please note the change in the application process for 2017. For the first time this year, the application may be obtained from the ACEA website. Alternatively, it can be requested from Scholarship America. If requesting from Scholarship America, the student, member or associate must complete the form below and mail to Scholarship America at the above address. Upon receipt, Scholarship America will mail the actual application materials to the applicant.
Note that the deadline for mailing of the application to Scholarship America is February 1st.
