Suggested Teaching Procedures

What is a Tongue Twister?

l  Click U and let pupils listen to the Tongue Twisters.

l  Tell pupils that the words in a tongue twister have similar sounds. It is difficult to read fast and accurately.

l  Ask pupils to find out the words with similar sounds in the tongue twisters.

Funny Tongue Twister

l  Click U and let pupils listen to the Tongue Twisters.

l  Invite pupils to read out the tongue twisters.

Activity 1

l  Ask pupils to drag the words to the correct places to make a tongue twister.

Activity 2

l  Ask pupils to use the words provided and add words with similar sounds to the sentence to make a tongue twister.

l  Invite pupils to read out their tongue twisters.

²  Remind pupils that adding adjectives or adverbs with similar sounds is a good way to create tongue twisters.

²  Tell pupils that their tongue twisters may be nonsense but they should be grammatically correct.
