Structural Engineering – Providing Solutions to Global Challenges
Phase 2: Call for Abstracts
IABSE Conference Geneva 2015, September 23-25, 2015 will showcase the significant impact that Structural Engineers have on our society today. Being chiefly responsible for the built environment, Structural Engineering is a central solution provider with interfaces to many other disciplines and dominant in its role and responsibility. Building upon the technical expertise and authority of IABSE as the prime international organisation of Structural Engineers, the IABSE Conference Geneva 2015 will explore the contributions that Structural Engineering can make to solving major problems of today and the future.
With this conference IABSE is introducing its new style conference with novel approaches for knowledge sharing and a maximum of interaction between participants. After a successful Call for Contributions (Phase 1), the Scientific Committee has reviewed the great number of session topics submitted, and now proposes a list of sessionsfor the Call for Abstracts (Phase 2).
Participantswishing to make a contribution to the Conference are required to choose one session topic within the four Global Themes of the Conference and to submit an abstract of no more than 400 words by December 31, 2014,through the online submission system.

The International Association for Bridge and Structural Engineering (IABSE) founded in 1929, operates on a worldwide basis and deals with all aspects of planning, design, construction, maintenance and repair of civil engineering structures. The mission of IABSE is to exchange knowledge and to advance the practice of structural engineering worldwide in the service of the profession and society.
