USE WHAT YOU HAVE “MOLDS”… found things, borrowed items, old things, trash items.
- MAKE YOUR OWN “MOLDS”...bring a variety of items you would like to replicate to be used as a “hump” mold. We will mix up a plaster mix (pourand wait) then have a variety of shapes to use in class. Please not huge: have to be able to lift it and have shelf space.
- PATTERNS...bring your “inspiration” design (draw it, find it, print it, clip it from where ever) and we will lay it out of a variety of mediums such as heavy paper, card board, mat board, plastic, etc. “trash to treasures”. You’ll need your exacto knife, heavy duty scissors, whatever you need to comfortably cut with. We have good cutting boards and an old paper cutter.
- WHEELS...start small to find your groove then then gradually increase the height and width. Once you have your desired bowl, alter the item by pushing, pinching, cutting, cut/overlap, carve. Imagination has no boundaries.
Everyone has their favorite things...ways of working...desires...purposes.
We can all work together to accomplish your goals.
