This source examines the leadership of Jesus and the importance of his leadership. Augustinsen explains that it is through his calling, his disciples, his empowerment of others, his integrity, etc. that Jesus exposes himself as a leader. I used this source to illustrate Jesus' leadership qualities.

This secondary source examines the life of Billy Graham. Billy Graham is one of the most noted Evangelical preachers in America. His inspiring sermons brought hope to many during America's fight against communism. Graham also used media and the founding of his ministry to greatly affect the spread of Christianity throughout the world. I used this source as an example of how Christianity has greatly affected thousands across the globe.

This secondary source provides information on the life of Harriet Beecher Stowe. Harriet Beecher Stowe is the author of the anti-slavery novel Uncle Tom’s Cabin. Although well known for Lincoln’s remark to her about the Civil War, many are unaware of her profound faith. I used this source to illustrate Stowe’s faith and the credit she gave to God for her work.

This secondary source provides information regarding the life of George Washington Carver, a scientist and agricultural expert born during the Civil War by slave parents. He used his agricultural expertise to lesson Southern dependency on cotton as well as developed many products from peanuts, wood, etc. Carver was also a Christian who gave credit to God for his accomplishments and talents. I used this source to give another example of a Christian who has changed the world.

Davis uses evidence to support his claim that the Gospels are authentic and Christianity is rooted in the idea of Jesus as the Son of God. I used this source to support the idea that the Gospels support the idea that Jesus is the Son of God.

Martin Luther King Jr. was a Baptist minister who led many Civil Rights Movements promoting nonviolence such as the Montgomery bus boycott. Even after his assassination in 1968 his efforts in the Civil Rights Movement led to the end of segregation in America. I used this source as an example of a Christian whose efforts have greatly affected American history.

This source gives an overview of the life of Mother Teresa a Catholic nun and one of the most well-known humanitarians. Her foundation since her death in 1997 has grown to over 4,000 members, 610 foundations in 123 countries across all seven continents and has established orphanages, nursing homes, family clinics, health clinics, a leper colonies, etc. All of which has been done in the name of Jesus. I used this source as an example of how Jesus has and continues to spread ideas of caring for the poor and sick across all nations even thousands of years after his death.

This secondary website provided information on the legacy of Jesus, mainly the Peace given to the world because of Jesus’ sacrificial death and obedience to God. I used this source to support the idea of Jesus’ legacy toward his Church and the gift of peace given to those who follow him.

From scientists who discovered laws about gravity to preachers who fought for Civil Rights, Christians from all different backgrounds have greatly impacted the world around them. I used this site to give specific examples of Christians who changed the world and more specifically Martin Luther King Jr., George Washington Carver, and Harriet Beecher Stowe.
