47th Annual Sauerkraut Weekend

August 1 – 4, 2013

The new planning committee for the 2013 Phelps Sauerkraut Weekend is in full swing preparing for this year's event! Under new direction, from an outside event consultant, the planning committee, supported by many community organizations including the Phelps Fire Department, the Phelps Chamber and the American Legion, is working diligently to merge old festival favorites with new exciting ideas to bring the community of Phelps a bigger and better Sauerkraut Weekend! The weekend promises something for everyone, so be sure to join us August 1st – 4th!

The vendor site will be at the Phelps Fire Department (77 Ontario Street, Phelps, New York 14532) and will be open August 1st - August 3rd. We are looking for enthusiastic, diverse food vendors this year and are especially looking to highlight recipes that use sauerkraut.

There is a $350.00 fee per 10 X 20 spacesfor the event. You will be required to provide and set up any equipment, including tents, extension cords, tables, chairs and anything else that you will need to provide your services.

Agreement

• The undersigned hereby agrees to set-up and operate a booth at the Phelps Sauerkraut Weekend on the above dates. If you have signed up for these dates you MUST be there and open during festival hours.
• No drinking alcohol or smoking will be allowed in the vendor booths.
• It is understood that your area shall be cleaned each night after close of business and during business hours as required.
• Phelps Sauerkraut Weekend Committee reserves the right to terminate this contract at any time if these policies are not adhered to.
• Agreements will be honored on a first come first serve basis. If the committee determines there is a duplicate of service, the food vendor fee will be refunded within two weeks of receipt.

Weekend Release Form

As an exhibitor, I agree to comply with the rules and regulations of this event. That, in consideration of my application being accepted, I intend to be legally bound; that I do hereby, for myself and my heirs, executers, administrator, successors, and assigns release and forever discharge any and all rights and claims for damages which I may have or hereafter accrue to me against the Town and Village of Phelps, the Phelps Business Development and Tourism Council, the Phelps Sauerkraut Weekend Committee, Business and Leisure Connection, the Phelps Fire Department and the Phelps Ambulance Inc., and their employees, officers, volunteers, members and board of directors for any and all damages, losses, and injuries sustained to me and / or my property while on the Phelps Sauerkraut Weekend grounds. I hereby agree to indemnify hold harmless and defend the aforementioned entities from any claim of action for property damage, personal injury, and / or wrongful death. I attest that I am physically fit and am responsible for my own actions.
