How to Check-In Your Dynamic Personalized Library (Shipment 1)
1. The first thing to do is to separate the cartons by grade (sort by grade color label). Within grade you will see the label has Class A, Class B, Class C, Class D. Each teacher will get a class set for their grade.
2. For each grade pile, look for the carton with the pink neon label. This is the carton with the packing slip. There will be one packing slip per Grade Level.
3. Look at the carton count on the packing slip and verify that the # of cartons on packing slip equals # of cartons physically received
4. Look at cartons that have an ISBN on the outside of the shipping box and check those off your packing list first. Those should denote full cartons and the carton should not need to be opened to check-in the order
5. Repeat for each grade
Note: This is only the first shipment of your Dynamic Personalized Library. You will receive 1-2 more shipments to complete your classroom library.
Invoices Returned to the Elementary Schools Office
Please identify a staff member to receive and inventory all of the Scholastic book orders. Please make sure every carton is inventoried upon arrival. We want to make sure that each teacher and campus received their books and that HISD can account for the funds spent. Please do the following:
· Make a copy of this document and the attached document to check in the cartons.
· Use these as a resource when and if needed to account for cartons received or not received.
· Create a system or way to account for all of the cartons being checked into the campus. You want to be able to show that you received or did not receive cartons/books.
· Keep the copies of your check in documents (inventoried and signed) all together. Once check in/inventory process is completed, principals are to sign the check in sheets, scan a copy, and email it to their SSO secretary by Friday, August 15th. and ready for pick-up on date designated by Lance Menster.
