Job Title: Criminal Justice Support Worker (part-time)

Fearless Service
Sacro's four year 'Fearless - Survivors of Domestic Abuse' service seeks to provide support for those affected by domestic abuse to enable them to live in a home of their choice. The service willoperate as a partnership with key organisations who provide support for underrepresented minoritiesincluding BME, LGBT and non-traditional survivors of domestic abuse.
Overall Purpose of Role
This post will assist in the provision of Sacro’s Criminal Justice Services by delivering direct services to individuals who have been affected by domestic abuse.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Identify a caseload of service users taking into account the nature of the services to be delivered
- Conform to developed protocols for shared assessment and information sharing
- Carry out the day to day delivery of support provision as required within agreed plans
- Ensure there is appropriate follow up of service users who do not respond to appointments
- Liaise and work closely with other service-related agencies and partners as appropriate
- Track progress of service users once they have been referred to specialist agencies
- Ensure that standards relating to confidentiality are adhered to at all times in line with Sacro policies and procedures
- Maintain appropriate records, including case files, as required
- Assist in the monitoring and reviewing of service users’ progress and report as required to line manager
- Contribute to the preparation of reports and other relevant documents as requested by line manager
- Undertake any other appropriate task that Sacro requires
- Carry out all duties in accordance with Sacro policies and procedures.
Skills and Experience
- Educated to Higher level (equivalent to Scottish Credit and Qualifications Framework (SCQF) Level 6)
- An excellent understanding of the effects and issues facing those who have experienced domestic abuse
- Experienced in the sensitivities involved in working across cultures and equivalent experience with vulnerable groups
- Experience of working with people in a mentoring role
- Experience of inter-agency/partnership working
- Excellent interpersonal skills and strong communication skills
- Effective casework management skills
- Experience of working with and supervising volunteer/mentors
- Ability to develop effective working relationships
- Ability to work as a member of a team
- Knowledge of a range of IT systems including Word, Excel and PowerPoint and bespoke project management applications
Other requirements
- May be required to work flexibly including some evenings and weekends
- Clean driving licence and access to a car

Salary: / SCP 19-22 (currently: £19,325 – £20,895per annum, pro-rata)Leave entitlement: / 31 days annual leave; 6 fixed public days, pro-rata
Hours of Work: / 18.75 hours per calendar week. Some evening or weekend work may be required.
Condition: / This post is subject to a satisfactory PVG membership
Travel: / There may be a requirement for travel in this role
Pension: / Sacro employees are automatically entered into the Sacro Group Personal Pension Scheme
Work Base: / Glasgow, Edinburgh or Fife, or at any other location as required by Sacro
