The contracting body instructs the contractor to process / prepare / to store / to transport the delivered organic raw materials or organic products according to his/her instructions.

The determinations of Regulation (EC) No 834/2007, current version, and the Austrian Food Codex, Chapter A8, current version for processing, preparation, storage or transport of organic products are observed. Other private law standards have to be entered in the above box and possibly additionally observed. The organic operator informs the contractor beyond these requirements.
This agreement is valid from the date of signature and shall be concluded for an indefinite period. The dissolution of the agreement must be announced from the organic operator before the upcoming organic inspection. The signed agreement must be available for both contract partners as well as the inspection body Austria Bio Garantie.
Requirementsfor contractor:
For processing only the supplied agricultural raw materials/ingredients, processing aids and food additives (excluding water and salt) from the organic operator must be used. The contractor shall take measures to prevent mixing with conventional products as well as products and/or materials that do not meet the requirements of organic Regulation (EC) No 834/2007 (eg.storage protection products), including the receipt of goods, processing as well as goods sold to the organic operator. For outside parties, the separation must be clearly identifiable at all times. The working steps are carried out in a closed order for the entire batch and be carried out in space or time from similar operations performed for conventional products.
At the contractor’s place a production protocol with the following contents must be available at any moment the organic inspection body wants to take insights:
- Supplier, type, quanityand date of the delivered agricultural raw materials/ingredients, processing aids and food additives (eg. accompanying document, ABG form)
- Receipes
- Type, quanity and date of processed, prepared, storaged organic raw materials/products (eg. accompanying document, ABG form)
The, by the organic operator, commissioned inspection body Austria Bio Garantie (ABG) has the right to check the above mentioned requirements at the contractor during the organic inspection at the organic operation. The contractor is obliged to keep records and to hand them out to the organic operation in case of an organic inspection.
Requirments fororganic operator:
The following records must be available at the organic operation:
- The origin, date, type, quanity and status (conventional, goods in conversion, organic goods) from the delivered agricultural raw materials/ingredients, processing aids and food additives (eg. accompanying document, delivery paper, ABG form) from the contracting body to the contractor
- Date, type and quanity of the finished products (eg. accompanying document, ABG form)
- Receipes
- Labels, if necessary
The organic operator is liable for any irregularities or deficiancies - in this case, the sanctions according to the ABG List of sanctions should be applied. The determinations of the inspection contract between the organic operation and ABG are valid correspondingly. The cost of thisinspection, and for any additional inspecions that arise due to irregularities, are taken over by the organic operator.
