MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

DUE IN THE GUIDANCE OFFICE BY APRIL 25, 2018

This scholarship is awarded in memory of CentralHigh School students Jennifer Wolter, Emily Heim, Jeremy Wolter, Andrew Norton and Jerid Smith. These five young men and women, all between the ages of 13 and 16, died in a tragic automobile accident on Wednesday, September 30, 1992. Many who knew these students remember Jenny Wolter as a hard working student who wanted to do everything for herself, Emily Heim as a lover of nature and animals, Jeremy Wolter as a sports fanatic, Andy Norton as a boy who loved to build things and Jerid Smith as the boy with the inexhaustible smile.

The Emily Heim, Andy Norton, Jerid Smith and Jenny and Jeremy Wolter Memorial Scholarship is a separate and distinct fund established through private donations that is administered as a charitable trust endowment holding by Independent School District 108. The earnings from the fund, as well as any additional gifts made on behalf of the "Trust," are to be used to assist a graduate of CentralHigh Schoolto pay for their post-secondary education.

The trustees of the Emily Heim, Andy Norton, Jerid Smith, and Jenny and Jeremy Wolter Memorial Fund will grant two (2) $200 scholarships toward the maintenance of a senior CHS graduate in any accredited college, university or technical school.

The candidate for this scholarship must be a graduating CentralHigh School senior who, although deemed "average" by some, deserves to be recognized because they have set an example of responsibility, hard work, integrity and community service. Applicants must be citizens of the United States who have been accepted at and are planning to attend an accredited post-secondary institution on a full-time basis.
