With glad rejoicing we celebrate the Sacrament of Holy Baptism today at the 9:30 am service for

Kieran Annabella Fanta. Kieran is the daughter of Brad Rose and Nadia Fanta and was born May 20, 2012. Kieran’s godparents are Stefan and Savita Gerville-Reache. Welcome to the family of God at Grace, Kieran!

Due to the Mens Retreat, there will be no 11 am Bible study in Room 206, Larry Holden’s class today.

Youth News…2012 Jr. High Fall Gathering
Friday, September 21 - Saturday, September 22 at First Lutheran Camp, Soddy Daisy, TN
This years theme is “Exposed”, based on Hebrews 4:12-13!
Cost $45 to include lodging, food and all material needed for the weekend
Registration forms (deadline is Aug. 15) are now available outside of the youth office or at visitgrace.org

Water Angels Back to School Block Party – Saturday, August 11

We would appreciate donations of new backpacks, wide ruled paper, rulers, #2 pencils, Crayola

crayons, Elmers glue, Fiskar scissors, glue sticks, 3 prong folders, and spiral notebooks. They can

be placed in the box labeled Water Angels in the coffee area. I know that these less fortunate children will appreciate your generosity. If you have questions, you can contact Sandy Heath at 247-8866.

Donations of cash will also be accepted by Sandy Heath or Mike Murphy to buy the supplies needed.

Rally Day begins August 19th for our Sunday School Children

This year’s theme is “…let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus,

the founder and perfecter of our faith…” Parents are encouraged to meet their child’s new teacher.

We also need a co-teacher for both the 3 year old class as well as the 2nd grade class.

Beth Moore Women’s Conference in Knoxville

A group of ladies will be going to the Beth Moore Women’s Conference Aug 10-11 at Thompson-Boling Arena. If you

are interested in strengthening your own relationship with God, contact Donna Anderson at (865) 607-7288 for tickets. Cost is $65.00. We will leave Grace at 6:00 pm Friday evening. Wristbands will be mailed to each individual or group

that registers to be worn for admission to the event.

Employment Opportunities

First Lutheran School is accepting applications for the position of School Administrative Assistant. This is a full-time position (with benefits if needed), beginning immediately. The position requires someone with strong interpersonal skills, administration support experience, and excellent PC skills (MS Word, Excel, e-mail, etc.). Responsibilities include but are not limited to: communication with school faculty and parents, general office duties, data entry and filing, managing phones and messages, computer tasks, mail distribution, calendar coordination, etc. Most important will be the daily interaction that this individual will have with the school students, so they must have a love for children and for the Lord.
