SECTION 017830- TOTAL MAINTENANCE SYSTEM (For Assembly Plants)

PART 1 - GENERAL

1.1SUMMARY

  1. Total Maintenance System (TMS) is an electronic document used by the assembly plants for maintaining equipment. All contractors and equipment suppliers must complete these documents electronically prior to contract closeout. TMS replaces all hard copy requirements. Contractor will be required to assist in the conversion process at ITM TMS office located at ChryslerTechnologyCenter in Auburn Hills, Michigan.
  2. TMS consists of two parts:
  3. An electronic list of all equipment components. A bill of materials and recommended spare parts list.
  4. Required equipment maintenance activities complete with frequency.

1.2EQUIPMENT SUPPLIER TMS ACCESS

  1. Supplier/Contractor can arrange the T.M.S. training classes by calling T.M.S. help desk.
  2. Supplier/Contractor can obtain a Spin I.D. password from system help desk by dialing 18003329978.
  3. Supplier/Contractor can use his existing Spin I.D. for T.M.S. for any Chrysler Plant but need to call T.M.S. help desk to switch from one plant to other so he can have a excess to that particular plant T.M.System. T.M.S. help desk phone number is (248) 944-5800

1.3BILL OF MATERIALS AND SPARE PARTS

  1. Chrysler will provide an electronic Excel spread sheet titled "Total Maintenance System Bill of Material Requirements". Contractor shall fill out required data on these sheets
  2. Required data consists of equipment bill of materials and recommended spare parts.
  3. Contractor shall fill out all columns in provided Excel spread sheet.
  4. Contractor shall provide original manufacturer part number and name not their internal number and name in the manufacturer part number and name column, if that part has not been modified.
  5. Contractor shall provide his vendor code number only if the original manufacturer does not have his Chrysler approval vendor code number.
  6. Contractor shall choose one of the mentioned part types in the “part type” column.

A - Recommended Normal Spare

B - Recommended Catastrophic

C - Consignment Part

D - Normal Part

E - Perishable Part

F - Special Tool

G - Catastrophic Part

1.4Equipment Maintenance Activities

  1. Contractor shall also provide maintenance activities into T.M.S. These maintenance activities should include frequency based on weeks, time required for each activity, and specific trade. These maintenance activities should be approved by the Plant for final buy-off. The Contractor shall also provide each equipment model number, serial number, install date and warranty date into T.M.S.
