Congratulations are extended to Kendra Cotten of Henry on being crowned Homecoming queen on Wednesday evening at Dakota State University at Madison, SD. Julie Cotton and her mother; Donna Briggs attended the crowning ceremony. On Saturday, Rod and Julie Cotton attended the parade at Madison.

Terry and Judy Kos attended the Thursday evening showing of the new Caring Club House in Watertown. The facility is Prairie Lakes’ Hospital rendition of a Ronald McDonald House.

Howard and Violet Heiden recently called on Benjamin Fishbach in Watertown and helped him celebrate his 3rd birthday.

Charlie and Nikki Heustess of Watertown took Teresa Peterson to Sioux Falls on Friday evening for supper in honor of her birthday. Earlier in the day Shaina Winnett called from Bemidji, MN and wished her mom a Happy Birthday.

Dave and Jackie McNeal and family of Warner were weekend guests at the Floyd and Donna Kittelson home. Cindy Wientjes of Clark was also a Saturday evening overnight guest.

Joan Warnock and Steph Nelson attended the Thursday evening volley ball game in which Kaitlyn Nelson participated.

Dave and Mara Rose McElroy of Sioux Falls were last Sunday visitors at the Don and Rose McElroy home.

Gayle Ferrell of Denver, CO, Ray Huntley of Ft. Collins, CO, Bonnie Huntley and Vicki Mack were Wednesday evening guests at the Chuck and Debbie Engels home.

Steph Nelson and Kaitlyn attended the Florence/Henry football game in Henry on Friday evening.

Cherie Jans attended a retirement party on Wednesday at the Clark Post Office in honor of her dad, Milo Kolden.

April Fleming of Brookings spent Saturday at the home of her parents, Tim and Lori Page. Adam Page, a student at SDSU spent the weekend at his parents.

Keri Nelson, who is attending the U of M at Crookston, MN spent the weekend at her Henry home. On Saturday, Steph, Keri and Kaitlyn Nelson attended the Wagner/Ford wedding in Watertown.

Cody and Sara Winnett of Watertown were Sunday visitors at the Dale and Teresa Peterson home and remembered Teresa on her birthday.

Bret and Karen Henricks and family of rural Waverly were Sunday dinner guests at the Terry Kos home. Brian and Kathy DeJong of Watertown called later in the afternoon.

Floyd and Donna Kittelson were Sunday dinner guests at the Tom and Kathy Wookey home in Clark in celebration of Stephanie’s 10th birthday. Additional guests for dinner were Mr. and Mrs. Dave McNeal and family, Warner, Mr. and Mrs. Mike Hovde and family of rural Vienna, Mr. and Mrs. Brian Wientjes, Gayle Wookey, and Mr. and Mrs. Dale Wookey of Clark.

Albert and Gail Kittelson helped Patty Kittelson celebrate her birthday with supper out in Henry on Friday evening.

A number of ladies honored Jeanette Hansen on her 80th birthday with a Red Hat party Saturday afternoon at the Community Center. Nearly all of the ladies wore red hats and purple attire. Her four children hosted the Saturday afternoon party. On Saturday evening the families enjoyed dinner out and on Sunday morning a brunch was held. Those attending from a distance were Charles and Sharon Stender of Custer, SD, Gary and Karen Hansen and Bill, Rayme and Karlie Clemens of Chatfield, MN, Milan Hansen and Linda Bailey of Washington Court House, OH, Tanis Hansen and Roosevelt Toney of Stockton, California and LaVonne Oleson of Owatonna, MN.

Harry and Marlene Munkvold of Chamberlain called at the Howard and Violet Heiden home Sunday afternoon

Dale Peterson was a Sunday supper guest at the Roger and Bonnie Jankord home and visited with Kimberly Jankord who is a student at Northern State University in Aberdeen. Betty Holiday and family of Naples were addition guests at the Jankords.

Veryl and Sandy Hoftiezer of Watertown were Tuesday evening supper guests at the Doris Coyle home.

Calvin and Lois Schoepp and Morris and Eleanor Van Sickle of Watertown enjoyed a Sunday afternoon drive in the Ortonville, MN area and enjoyed the many fall colors.

Pat and Irene Redmond were among the many that attended the Homecoming football game in Henry on Friday evening. Cameron Johnson and Darci Johnson were chosen as Homecoming Royalty.

Donna Kittelson attended a South Dakota TOPS workshop in Watertown on Saturday morning.

John and Stephanie Boehnke attended the October meeting of the Courier Classics 4-H Club in Clark Sunday evening.

Albert and Gail Kittelson were Sunday evening supper guests at the Bob and Carol Henry home in Garden City.

Donna Briggs of Watertown and Julie Cotten attended the Respect For Life Mass held Sunday morning at St. Joseph’s Cathedral in Sioux Falls conducted by Bishop Carlson. Following the mass, the ladies attended a brunch held at the Cathedral.

Howard and Violet Heiden were Monday morning coffee guests at the Delwyn and Carol Warkenthien home.

A long time Graceland Township resident, Ronald McGillivary passed away on Wednesday afternoon. Funeral services were held at the Wesleyan Church in Watertown with burial at the Graceland Cemetery. Another former Graceland resident, Viola Vogt Muller passed away recently.
