Dear NAGPS Member,

Our Spring 2014 Advocacy Summit and Legislative Action Days is just over a month away! This is our biggest advocacy event for the year and will officially kick off our legislative efforts for 2014. Spring LAD will run from March 1-4, 2014 in Washington DC.

The Advocacy Summit

March 1 and 2 are reserved for our Advocacy Summit, an education and training event that gets you up to speed on the major issues on our radar for 2014. At the advocacy summit, you participate in sessions led by the NAGPS Advocacy Board, policy experts and advocates. The Summit is designed to equip you with all the information that you will need to have successful congressional visits during LADs.

Legislative Action Days

On March 3 and 4, attendees will converge on Capitol Hill to participate in meetings with their Congressional representatives. You will have the opportunity to discuss the issues that affect students on your campuses, across the state, region and nation.

We will also host a reception on the Hill on March 3rd, which will be attended by congressional staffers, our partners and of course, you!

Registration

Registration for LAD is FREE for NAGPS members. Non- member registration is only $50 per person. Please visit the event page on our website to find out more about LAD and register for the event by clicking here.

We have also provided an event overview and a sample funding request letter to assist you in requesting funding from your school or organization. These are available for download on the event page.
