TEAM (Teaching Excellence, Achievement, and Mastery) Award Guidelines and Judging Rubric

Staff will be nominated for exemplary teaching and selected based on the following criteria:

1. Excels in Teaching & Instruction- engages all students and successfully implements teaching techniques and strategies that encourages all learners to learn at high levels based on their individual levels and abilities.

2. Motivates Others -motivates and encourages students to advance past their expectations both academically and socially.

3. Exhibits Strong Leadership Skills - serves as a leader not only in the classroom, but also throughout the school.

4. Provides Regular Community Service – Frequently demonstrates the importance of civic responsibility by being active in community or other service organizations.

5. Inspires and Encourages Others - demonstrates creativity, imagination, and excitement in teaching methods that inspire students to learn, encourages, and assists colleagues often to follow suit with the same type of enthusiasm and encouragement.

6. Shows Noticeable Dedication - demonstrates excellent attendance, punctuality, and a desire to see students achieve identified goals.

7. Communicates Most Effectively- communicates articulately to their students, parents, colleagues, administrators as well as others in the community.
