Dear Praying Friends,
Our furlough is more than half over and we have traveled about 7,000 miles all along the East Coast. We are now in Ohio and will remain here until the middle of October.Thank you for praying with us as we travel. We had a great visit with Brian and his family and had hoped to be there for the arrival of our sixth grandchild but she didn’t cooperate. We left on Saturday, August 22, and she was born on August 25. Her name is Elise Mary Ann. We look forward to meeting her and seeing Owen again when we stop off for a few days before we leave for Spain. Roy’s mom, Wilma Jones, will be traveling with us to see her family in Spainone more time. Every time she visits she says it’s the last time!

The news from Spain is encouraging. Not only do we have a new granddaughter here but we have a new “granddaughter” in Spain as well. Pedro & Marga’s little daughter, Aitana, was born on August 29 in Coslada. The numbers are growing! Recently a family of five began attending the church in Coslada and we’re praying for them as well.We are also encouraged by news from Isabel about her current situation. God continues to work in her life and in Sarah’s. August is the month for vacations but now things will start getting back to normal again. We heard that family camp was a great success. There were over 100 campers there from the four ABWE churches in the area. We pray for those who made decisions during camp. We also ask prayer for our sister church in Alameda de Osuna (a suburb of Madrid). We served in this church during our first term in Spain. The city of Madrid has given them land to build a new facility. They have outgrown their current one. Now they must find a way topay forthis new facility. Land is not given very often but it is also a major task to bring this all to reality. Pray for Pastor Iñaki and the believers there. God is going to do great things in His time.
Even though we’ll be traveling over the next months, we hope you’ll contact us. You can reach us by e-mail: or by cell phone: (760) 208-0514. We are in the process of updating our website: so take a look at that over the coming weeks. We are also on Facebook. Please continue to pray for our financial situation. Before we can return to Spain in October, we need to raise an additional $300 a month. We’re confident that the Lord will meet this needand that we will be able to return on time. Thank you for praying for us and for Spain.
In His Service,
Roy & Nancy Jones
