This week we are reading “Dinosaur Ghosts: The Mystery of Coelophysis” by Lynett Gillette. We will focus on some vocabulary words in this story. It would be helpful if you will reinforce the meaning of these words at home with your child. Also, on this newsletter you will find our spelling words for the week. GRAMMAR for this week:
Possessive Nouns
A possessive noun shows ownership. A singular possessive noun shows that more than one person, place, or thing has or owns something. A plural possessive noun shows that more than one person, place or thing has or owns something.
· To make a singular noun show possession, add an apostrophe (‘) and –s.

· To make a plural noun that ends in –s show possession, add an apostrophe (‘).
