Central Arkansas Area Director Officer Report

Introduction

The Central Arkansas Area consists of the following chapters: Alpha Beta Eta (Little Rock, AR), Beta Beta Rho (Russellville, AR/Currently Inactive), Iota Pi (Conway, AR), Lambda Gamma Sigma (Conway, AR), Mu Beta Sigma (Little Rock, AR), Phi (Little Rock, AR), Rho Phi (Little Rock, AR), and Theta Alpha (Arkadelphia, AR). As the Central Arkansas Area Director, I am committed to ensure consistent operations and practices throughout each chapter in Central Arkansas.

-I will continue to have quarterly meetings via conference call with other Area Directors to discuss items pertinent to our areas’ operations. From these meetings, we determine what policies and procedures that are not being implemented by the chapters under our supervision.

-I will continue to update chapters on new guidelines and procedures associated with the Membership Intake Process as it is received from State and Regional Director.

Lessons Learned

As the newly appointed Central Arkansas Area Director, I understand the importance of establishing consistent practices and standards throughout each chapter. To ensure consistency, each Area Director has committed to utilize our network more frequently to address issues, concerns, or ideas that we may face in our respective areas. Also, we will hold each other accountable for any communication breakdowns or breach of practices established by the Arkansas Area Directors.

It has been hard trying to keep continues contact with the chapters under my watch. As a board I feel that we must continue to strive to make every process that we have in place as streamline as possible, so that the chapters continue to get the much needed information in a timely manner.

Recommendations For The Future

As Central Arkansas Area Director, I recommend that – all chapters have at least 75% of their campus brothers active before being able to have intake.

Closing and Summary

As Central Arkansas Area Director of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity Inc., I strive to manage resources to ensure that the Southwestern Region and International Headquarters initiatives are fully supported, enforced, and conducted throughout each chapter in Arkansas. The Central Arkansas area has seen a growth of about 40% and we are currently trying to reestablish the Beta Beta Rho Chapter at Arkansas Tech University, which has been down for the last couple of years.

I will continue to embrace positive change and I look forward to seeing you all in Kansas City, MO.

Respectfully Submitted,

Jesse Flack - Central Arkansas Area Director
