1.Where do you find the submenu for “System Tools?”

Start>All Programs>Accessories>System Tools

2. Under System Tools, choose System Information.

4. What happens when you click the Disk Cleanup button on the Hard Drive Properties menu?
Your Operating systems takes a few minutes to check your hard drive and calculate how much space you can be free on the C: drive if your delete (Clean up) unnecessary files. It opens a Disk Cleanup window and has check boxes for files you can delete.

5. What are some of the types of files you can delete?

6. In the Disk Cleanup window, if you click on the “More Options” tab, what are the three other choices you can do to free of hard drive disk space?

8. What steps would you take to Install New Hardware?

With Computer Off: Connect the device to the computer> turn on the computer, Windows will detect the hardware and start the Install wizard, Follow the steps on screen

With Computer On: Control Panel> double-click Add Hardware> Install wizard starts. An installation CD that comes with the hardware may be needed to complete the installation. (Drivers are installed)

9. What does SecurityCenter allow you to do?

  • Get Automatic security updates
  • Install and use a Firewall
