On behalf of the local Young Life Committee, thank you for agreeing to be one of our Banquet Table Hosts. As you know, the banquet is our biggest fund-raiser of the year, and it is dependent on folks like you: people who are committed to the mission of Young Life, which is to bring kids to Christ. The responsibilities for every Table Host are as follows:

1.Do not invite anyone to the Fund-raising Banquet until after the Table Host Dessert. This prevents guests from being invited by multiple hosts.

  1. Create a list of 12 or more couples whom you would like to invite to the banquet. We are seating tables of 10.The Table Host couple will need to fill the other eight seats either with couples or individuals. This is your Potential Guest List. (The rule of thumb is: you get 1 confirmed response for every 3 you invite.) A coordinator will be assigned to each Table Host and will be in contact with you.

3.We must have this list at the Young Life office no later than September 20th.This will allow us to catch the duplicates for you. We will give you back your Revised Potential Guest List at the Table Host Dessert. You may email your list to, fax it to 693-7733, mail it to the address above, or deliver it to the Young Life office.

4.Tuesday, October 3rd, be present at the Table Host Dessert at 7:00pm at Madden’s. We will give back your Revised Potential Guest List, and then you will personalize and address invitations for your potential guests. We will give more instructions at the Dessert. Your coordinator will be introduced to you at the Table Host Dessert.

5.When you receive your invitation in the mail, begin calling everyone on your list and invite them to sit with or near you. If you have over 10 guests including yourself, you will be able to have more than one table. Tell your coordinator who has said yes or no.

6.A couple of days before the Young Life Fund-Raising Banquet on Monday, November 6, 2006, call your guests again to remind them, and to express enthusiasm about having them come to the Banquet at the College Station Hilton.
