The LX4000 entails the full Mini-Lab system to include engine temperature, pressure, flow and thrust measuring sensors, transducers, signal conditioning, wheeled computer station/stand and all necessary hardware and software for on screen data display. The LX4000 is delivered ready to operate and includes the following as standard equipment:

  1. Electric driven high-pressure fuel pump with by-pass adjustment valves.

  1. Electric air start solenoid
  1. T-handle throttle lever complete with adjustment stops, all necessary linkages, cable and connections to engines fuel controller.
  1. Heavy duty lockable caster package for complete portability.
  1. Operator console/Instrument panel to include the following digital readouts:
  1. Microprocessor based E.G.T. temp. gage.
  2. Microprocessor based engine RPM gage.
  3. Microprocessor based thrust gage.
  1. Mechanical gages to indicate:
  1. Air start pressure (PSI)
  2. Oil pressure (PSI)

  4. P3 (engine pressure ratio, PSI)

The following (13) conditioned signal outputs are routed to the LX4000's centralized data acquisition port, which is routed to the computer station via a 68 pin shielded cable. On screen display of all real time data is made possible via included National Instruments data acquisition software.

All pressure sensors are routed to transducers, which emit a mV output.

Temperatures sensors:

  1. Compressor inlet static thermocouple (T1)
  2. Compressor exit stagnation thermocouple (T02)
  3. Turbine stage inlet stagnation thermocouple (T03)
  4. Turbine stage exit stagnation thermocouple (T04)
  5. Thrust nozzle exit stagnation thermocouple (T05)

All temperature wells are equipped with k-type thermocouples

Fuel Flow: The fuel flow system utilizes a pressure transducer system that monitors fuel injector return flow pressure.

Thrust:"Real time" engine thrust force measurement:

The output from the resistive based strain gage is routed to the operators console and displayed via a digital display. It is also routed to the included computer station.

Engine Speed:The SR-30 engine is equipped with a 2-pole engine driven generator. The generator frequency is measured and routed to both the operator panel and to the included computer station. The operator panel is equipped with a digital meter, which presents the engine speed in digital format.
