Get excited for an amazing year with your sister sorority pairings! Here is a list for the Fall Semester with mandatory events and activity ideas to do with your sister sororities. In order to get points for your activities, you must fill out the form and return it to the Greek Life Office, preferably as soon after the event as possible. This is all about having fun with the other wonderful chapters on our campus, so do as many events as you can!

I am so excited to work with all of you to promote strong sisterhood and unity among all Panhellenic sororities at SDSU! I will be in touch throughout the year and available at all times if you have any questions. I may hold monthly meetings that won’t take up too much time, but keep a look out for that email. Remember our Sister Sorority slogan, “No Matter the Letter, we are all Greek Together!”

Mandatory Events/Activity Ideas
MANDATORY EVENTS:
OCTOBER:
Meet with your corresponding Sister Sorority Chairs, to plan out events for the semester. (please look up their founders day, if they are having a philanthropy this semester, any other special days, and plan accordingly)
Make a poster to put on your Sister Sororities’ chapter house wishing them luck on the Homecoming activities
Get together with your sister sororities and donate non-perishable food items to SDSU Fights Hunger (you can drop off your cans and such at more than 100 red collection bins located at various academic and administrative offices across campus. Donations will also be accepted at the gates of Qualcomm Stadium during the Homecoming 2010 football game against the U.S. Air Force Academy on Oct. 16. This drive ends October 22nd).
Make a Halloween basket (cards, candy…etc)
NOVEMBER:
Attend the SDSU Football Game against Colorado State on November 20th with your Sister Sororities at 7:00 at Qualcomm Stadium.
Write cards for our troops abroad, telling them that we’re thankful for their work (in honor of Thanksgiving)
DECEMBER:
Attend the SDSU Basketball Game against Saint Mary’s on Wednesday December 1 @ 7:30
Make a “Good Luck on Finals” basket and poster for your pairing. It can include Scantrons, No. 2 pencils, candy, treats, sodas, Red Bulls, etc
OPTIONAL ACTIVITY IDEAS (*You must complete 3 other activities besides the mandatory one listed above)
Dinner swaps with your Sister Sorority pairing
Movie or TV night with your pairing
- Gossip Girl, Grey’s Anatomy, Sex and the City
Arrange a “Study Buddy Mixer” so members can find classmates in their classes to study with!
Poster on your pairing’s Chapter House
Make treats and goodies for your pairing
Bring your pairing a gift during Walk-arounds
Have an exchange-like event. (roller skating, bowling, ice skating)
Any kind of volunteer activity with your pairing (extra points!!)
Host a Game Night
- Catch phrase, murder mystery, hide and go seek (get creative!)
Attend your sister sorority’s intramural games at the ARC. (extra points!!)
Attend an SDSU sporting event together
Go to an SDSU sponsored play together
Learn one of your sister sororities’ chants
