§  Title: "Preventing Mosquito-borne Diseases: A Multi-Modal Approach"

o  BYRON L. BLAGBURN, MS, PhD

§  Byron L. Blagburn holds the appointment of Distinguished University Professor at the Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine. He received his doctorate in parasitology from the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine, and is an Honorary Diplomate of the American College of Microbiology (Parasitology).

§  Title: "Managing Fleas, Ticks and Vector-borne Diseases"

o  ANDREW MOORHEAD, DVM, MS, PhD

§  Dr. Andy Moorhead is a small animal parasitologist and Associate Research Scientist at the University of Georgia, College of Veterinary Medicine. His main research interests are the role of host-specific cues in development of filarial worms, specifically Dirofilaria immitis and Brugia malayi. Dr. Moorhead is also the Director of the Filariasis Research Reagent Resource Center.

o  Valarie V. Tynes, DVM, DACVB

§  Dr. Valarie Tynes has been a diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Behaviorists since 2003 and is currently President of the College. She is the editor of The Behavior of Exotic Pets and co-editor of the Behavior issue of the Veterinary Clinics of North America- Small Animal Clinics released in May of 2014. Dr. Tynes joined Ceva in October of 2014 as a veterinary services specialist, providing behavior education, training and technical support to the sales force as well as lectures and presentations to veterinarians in the field.

§  Steve Dale, is a certified Fear Freesmspeaker, and CABC (certified animal behavior consultant). Over the past few decades has reached pet owners than any other pet journalist in America.

He is the host of two nationally syndicated radio shows,Steve Dale’s Pet WorldandThe Pet Minute(together heard on over 100 radio stations, syndicated Black Dog Radio Productions, since 2005). He’s also a special contributor at WGN Radio, Chicago and program host,Steve Dale’s Pet World(since 1997). And he formerly hosted nationally broadcastAnimal Planet Radio.

For 21 years, his twice weekly newspaper column was syndicated by the Chicago Tribune. Steve was a contributing editorUSA Weekend(2002 to 2014), and regular columnist atCat Fancymagazine (2006 to 2014), and has written for a long list of magazines, fromPeopletoDog World(where he was a columnist).

He’s currently a columnist and contributing editor forCATster,andauthors a column calledSteve Dale’s Vet WorldforVeterinary Practice News. Steve also contributes blogs for various websites, including for Victoria Stilwell, and the Pet Health Network.
