Desert Highlands Men’s Interclub Qualifying

October 17-November 4, 2006

Eligibility: All male members of Desert Highlands 21 years of age or older, with a maximum course handicap of 22.

Format:For the initial team qualifier you may play up to three rounds. Your best score of the three will seed you on the team roster. The stableford scoring system will be used for the qualifying rounds. Points will be scored using your Gross scores. After completion of your round 100% of your handicap will be added to get a final qualifying score.

0 - Double bogey or higher

1 - Bogey

2 - Par

3 - Birdie

4 - Eagle

5 - Double Eagle

Tees:All interclub qualifying and interclub matches will be played from the Combo tees (6509 yds)

Procedure:Notify the pro shop that you intend to qualify before your round. Play with at least one other member and in accordance with the stipulated rules. Sign and have your scorecard attested and turn it to the pro shop upon completion of play.

Rules:USGA Rules will apply with Local Rules modifications. In addition there are special rules adopted for Interclub play only. Please note that these special rules include the option of treating stones in a bunker as moveable obstructions and the option of taking free relief when greenside sprinkler heads are within of both the putting surface and your ball and they interfere with your intended line of play.

Uniform:New this year will be team shirts ($21), which all members of the team will be required to purchase and wear at each match. Also available will be an optional wind shirt ($30), Vest ($30), and/or sweater ($32). All items are priced at cost plus 10%. These items are on display in the pro shop. Players are requested to wear either tan or navy shorts or pants.

Selection:This year’s team captain Bob Mandeville is in charge of the team selection process, which will be chosen from the team roster of 18 players, as determined by qualifying. This roster of players will be listed initially in the order of qualifying and adjusted by each player’s performance for each match thereafter. Players will be asked to confirm their availability for specific matches, with preferences given to those members who indicate availability for both “home” and “away” matches.
