1.4DESIGN / PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS

  1. Fire Rated Assemblies: Provide assemblies complying with NFPA 80 and listed in UL Directory or Intertek Testing Services (Warnock Hersey Listed) Directory.

1.5SUBMITTALS

  1. Store materials in a dry, warm, ventilated weathertight location.

1.8PROJECT CONDITIONS

  1. Maintain environmental conditions (temperature, humidity, and ventilation) within limits recommended by manufacturer for optimum results. Do not install products under environmental conditions outside manufacturer's absolute limits.

1.9COORDINATION

  1. Automatic Closure Standard Fire Door: UL approved release mechanism equipped with a 165 degree fusible link.
  2. Doors will be equipped with FireKing release mechanism, requiring only one sash chain to be routed to the operated side (sash chain not required to be routed to adjusting wheel side.)

1)The release mechanism shall include the FireKing planetary gear differential system.

2)The door will close by a thermally actuated link rated @165°F, or by an optional listed releasing device, or by manually activating the release handle.

3)All counterbalance spring tension shall be maintained when the release mechanism is activated.

4)After closing by manual activation of the release handle, the door shall be able to be reset by one person from one side of the door (re-engaging the release handle). No tools shall be required to reset the FireKing release mechanism.

5)Motor operator limits shall remain synchronized during normal operation and during drop testing.

Or by adjusting the dipswitches the unit can be set to release the door from the operator for a governor controlled door closing.
