Beca is one of the largest employee-owned engineering and related consultancy services companies in the Asia-Pacific. As well as numerous engineering consultancy services, Beca are involved in architecture, planning, project and cost management, land information, valuations and software consultancy work. Auckland Transport is a Controlled Organisation (CCO) of Auckland Council. The organisation combines the transport expertise and functions of eight local and regional councils and the Auckland Regional Transport Authority (ARTA).The establishment of Auckland Transport marks the first time in Auckland’s history, that all transport functions and operations for the city, have come under one organisation. Auckland Transport is responsible for all of the region’s transport services (excluding state highways) - from roads and footpaths, to cycling, parking and public transport.Among its main tasks are:
- To design, build and maintain Auckland’s roads, ferry wharves, cycleways and walkways.
- Co-ordinate road safety and community transport initiatives such as school travel
- Plan and fund bus, train and ferry services across Auckland.

Cycle Action Auckland
Cycle Action Auckland is a Not-for-profit organisation, actively involved in advocating and consulting with Auckland Council, Auckland Transport and NZTA for an improved cycling environment in Auckland. CAA encourage planners and engineers to consider and cater for the needs of cyclists in all roading and transport decisions. CAA is regularly consulted by these bodies on cycling issues and is seen as a key stakeholder in roading, sustainable transport, health and other related areas. CAA also have many links and cooperative projects with various private organisations and many individuals whose work or interests relate to cycling.

The Auckland Council is the council for the Auckland Region in New Zealand. It began operating on 1 November 2010, combining the functions of the existing regional council and seven existing city and district councils into one unitary council or "super city" governed by a mayor, 20 members of the governing body and 148 members of 21 local boards.
