Non-Executive Director

Remuneration - £12,250 per annum

Humber is really going places! From the bustling city of Hull, that has seen huge investment in recent years in preparation for its current reign as the UK City of Culture, to thriving market towns, traditional seaside towns and Yorkshire villages surrounded by rolling countryside.

We’ve also been going through exciting change and the pace continues. We’ve reshaped the organisation, introducing a new distributed leadership model and a refreshed focus on quality, clinical governance and safety. We now want a Non-Executive Director to join our Trust Board of Directors.

We provide a diverse range of services, community and inpatient mental health services, learning disability services, community services, healthy lifestyle support and addictions services and a growing number of primary care services in Hull, the East Riding of Yorkshire and the Whitby area, employing approximately 2,500 staff across over 70 sites. As a Teaching Trust, we work closely with our major academic partners, nurturing a workforce of tomorrow’s health professionals.

Our people are some of the very best – we need to lead them effectively and help them achieve safe, high quality care, despite testing financial times. This is an opportunity to be part of a large, complex, vibrant and exciting Foundation Trust.

You will be committed to the needs of users, carers and the surrounding community and to continuing to improve the range and quality of the services that we provide. You will be someone who has experience of working, ideally at Board level, in a large, complex, customer-focused, organisation reliant on flexibility and growth in a challenging market place and will ideally have excellent commercial awareness and experience.

For an informal discussion please contact Sharon Mays, Chair on 01482 389132 or 01482 389194

Closing date for this role is Friday 12th August 2017. Interviews will be held at the beginning of September 2017 – date to be confirmed.

We are committed to equal opportunities and value diversity.
