Summit College

City Project

2014 Application
- Due Date: 2.1.14 -

The Vision

The GO NOW Initiative is a growing movement of college students at The Summit Church who are committing their summers or 2-Years of their lives after college to join one of Summit's local, national, or international church plants.

God is the Creator and Sustainer of all things, and we have all fallen short of his holy intentions for our design. We have all earned death through our wretched sin. But God, being rich in mercy, has provided a way for us to be reconciled back to himself through giving his own Son, Jesus Christ. That is the good news we call the GOSPEL – that Jesus, who is God, came and lived the life we could not live, died the death we deserved, and then rose from the dead, defeating death, sin, and the grave – anyone who calls on the name of Jesus will be saved from the eternal death they deserve, forgiven of their sins, and be adopted as a child of God! Scripture teaches that God is drawing all men to himself and that Jesus is the only way to God – that through trusting and following Jesus alone, men and woman can be reconciled to God. Jesus has invited us to be his disciples and commanded us to go into the entire world and make disciples of all nations! As we seek to join this mission, we also see in Scripture that God’s primary means to accomplishing his purposes is the local church. Therefore, we, as The Summit Church, are seeking to grow deeper in this gospel of Jesus Christ together and make disciples of all nations. That’s what “Go Now” is all about – every single one of us living as a missionary, growing deeper in the gospel, and proclaiming this great news of hope to the entire world – those across the street and around the globe! We invite you to come join us in the mission of God in order that the slain Lamb of God will truly receive the reward of his great suffering (Rev. 5). Come with us and be a disciple who makes disciples!
